Cartoon Network's History

I've been watching Cartoon Network for a while and I decided to do a blog post on it.

Cartoon Network Logo 1992

Cartoon Network first aired in 1992 with shows like Tom & Jerry, Dexter's Labratory, I Am Weasel, Powerpuff Girls, and many more. This is what I like to call Generation 1. G1 had up to 11 cartoons at that time.

This is when Cartoon Network Has its major spike. In 2005-2007 (Generation 2), Cartoon Network threw out some of their old shows and started airing new shows like Total Drama Island. This is when I get mad. In 2007, Cartoon Network also started doing live action shows like Dude, What Would Happen and Destroy, Build Destroy.

This is when we get to Generation 3. G3 (2007-) is when they throw out even more shows. But, instead of replacing them with live-action shows, they do real cartoons like The Amazing World of Gumball, Regular Show, and Adventure Time.
